Las Vegas Crime Rates 2012
Las Vegas, also known as the City of Sin. It’s not weird to expect that the crime rate in the city would be one of the highest in the country, but in reality, it’s not (it’s New York). Just remember these facts so you can prepare yourself better, and possibly avoid them in the future.
When compared to the rest of the state of Nevada, Las Vegas has one of the highest crime rates.
But when comparing the crime rate with similar population sizes, the crime rate in Las Vegas in lower than average.
According to the FBI’s preliminary reports for January to June 2012, violent crime has risen by 6.4%, while property crime has risen by 5.3% when compared to 2011.
